At just 25 years old, Democrat Maxwell Frost on Tuesday became the first member of “Generation Z” to enter the United States Congress. The young man entered politics at age 15, horrified like so many of his countrymen by a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in 2012.
He later became one of the national representatives of the March for Our Lives organization, a movement founded after another Florida high school shooting.
In New Hampshire, another 25-year-old candidate, Karoline Leavitt, was also running for a House seat.
Close in age, the two candidates could not be further apart politically. A proud Trump supporter, the Republican advocates for lower taxes and stricter border controls.
