New Amnesty report accuses Russia of ‘likely’ crimes against humanity
The human rights NGO Amnesty International released a new report on Thursday accusing Russia of war crimes and “probable” crimes against humanity.
The NGO reports that Russia has “forcibly transferred civilians from occupied Ukraine to Russian-controlled areas or to Russia,” a process in which “children were separated from their families” in violation of international humanitarian law.
“Civilians have told Amnesty International that they have been forced to submit to abusive selection processes – known as ‘screening’ – which have sometimes led to arbitrary arrests, torture and other ill-treatment,” the NGO added in a statement. press.
