The European Commission made this Friday a new upward revision of inflation, to new annual highs of 8.5% in the eurozone and 9.3% in the European Union (EU) this year.
In the autumn macroeconomic forecasts, released this Friday, the community executive estimates new historical inflation highs for 2022, almost one percentage point above the 7.6% and 8.3% of the EU indicated in July.
For 2023, Brussels forecasts a slowdown in the indicator, but still with high values of 6.1% in the eurozone and 7.0% in the EU, and a further decrease is forecast in 2024 to 2.6% and 3 , respectively. 0%.
