Two planes collided and crashed during an air show in Texas

Two planes collided mid-air on Saturday during a World War II memorial ceremony in the US state of Texas.

According to the Texas authorities, quoted by Reuters, a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra collided and ended up crashing.

Emergency crews were called to the scene, but it is not known how many people were on board the two planes.

Several videos of the accident appeared on social networks, where you can see that flames broke out when the two planes fell to the ground.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board launched investigations into the incident, with the latter taking the lead and providing updates.
