Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Kiev’s military has found evidence of Russian atrocities in the Kherson region, similar to findings in other parts of Ukraine previously occupied by Moscow. 🇧🇷
“In the Kherson region, the Russian army left behind the same atrocities as in other regions of our country into which it managed to enter”he said in his daily intervention, published on social networks, without giving further details.
After the Russian withdrawal from locations such as Bucha or Izium, evidence of massacres and mass graves was found.
“Investigators have already documented more than 400 Russian war crimes, the bodies of both civilians and military are being found,” the president said, not clear if he was referring only to Kherson.
“We will without a doubt track down and bring to justice every murderer”promised.
“The arrest of Russian soldiers and mercenaries remaining in this area and the neutralization of saboteurs are taking place,” he said.
The president says everything is being done to regain electricity, water and internet in the region, which the Russians gave up last week. But Zelensky warns that “the situation in Kherson is still very dangerous,” referring to mines, for example.
