After the Russian attacks on the country that caused numerous power outages across the country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that power has been restored to 8 million people in Ukraine.
“Around 10 million Ukrainians were disconnected (from the power grid, editor’s note) after the terrorist attack. Power for 8 million people has already been restored. Engineers and technicians will work through the night,” he said on Twitter.
According to him, 85 missiles were fired at Ukrainian cities, from Kyiv to Lviv, near the Polish border, and from Kharkiv in the northeast to Odessa in the southwest. But according to the Air Force, no fewer than 100 missiles were fired, including strategic bombers, “more than on October 10, when the occupiers had fired 84,” according to spokesman Yuri Ignat.
In Kyiv, where two residential buildings were affected, “rescuers found the body of a deceased person,” and rescue operations are still ongoing, the capital’s mayor, Vitaly Klitschko, said.
In addition, the Russian attacks caused the automatic shutdown of reactors at two nuclear power plants in Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky also revealed.
