Several kilos of cocaine were discovered this Thursday, April 10 in a burning of bananas in three stores in the Albert Heijn supermarket chain in the Netherlands, reports the Dutch newspaper Omroep Babant.
Alerted by employees, the police went to two stores located in the municipalities of Bavel and Eindhoven, in the south of the country, and completed the area. Then the drug was seized, which was divided and packed carefully into blocks surrounded by tape.
“We know that cocaine has been found and that the drug has been destroyed. We cannot say more,” said Prosecutor of the Prosecutors of the Media Babant Omroep.
Better, also worried
On Wednesday, several kilos of “hard drugs” were found in another Albert Heijn store in the city of Best. However, the authorities have not provided details about the amounts of cocaine found.
At the moment, the authorities cannot affirm if there is a link between the three drug discoveries. The prosecutor opened an investigation.
