Donald Trump less popular? What surveys in the United States have been saying since their decisions about customs duties

In question? The increase in customs tasks in early April. In detail, 53% of respondents say “disapprove” the policy led by Donald Trump in general, with 28% that “disapproves with force.”

Always strong support for Republicans

The economic questions are among the main complaints, since six out of 10 respondents say they disagree with the way Donald Trump manages the issue of “inflation” and 56% with their “economy” management. Fulfill 4% compared to the survey of the same institute dated Sunday, March 30.

Food and rent

According to the latest survey of the University of Quinnipiac on Middle The Hill, published on April 9, almost half of the Americans say they are concerned about the increase in food prices.

“In a rare moment of politics, Democrats, Republicans and independent unanimity, in the same number, they care mainly about food prices,” survey analyst at the Quinnipiac Tim Malloy University.

One in five people also states that the cost of rent or real estate prices is their first concern.

Inflation in the heart of concerns

Almost three quarters (73%) of Americans say they expect an increase in the prices of a wide range of products in the next 6 months, after the surcharge of customs prices decided by Donald Trump, according to the latest Ipsos survey for Reuters, published on April 8.

Almost 6 out of 10 Americans (57%) ensure the surcharge imposed by the administration, against 39% who say they are favorable. 52% of respondents say that, despite everything, they share Donald Trump’s thesis that other countries benefit from the United States in international trade matters, an argument used by the President to justify the establishment of greater customs duties.

In the latest Yougov survey for the economist published on April 9, 51% of those questioned say they are disapproving the work of their president, against 43% that approves it, a difference of five points compared to the previous survey conducted between March 30 and April 1.

An always uncertain economic situation

Since April 2, mass customs tasks have entered into force, before Donald Trump is partially reversed. In fact, the president has announced a “90 -day break” in customs surcharges aimed at the United States commercial partners, except for Beijing.

At the same time, he left certain major customs duties in his place and a 10%floor tax. China was finally reached by a total monumental tax of 145%, or 125% in addition to customs pre -existing customs tariffs.

On Sunday, Donald Trump warned that no country was “business” against its customs offensive.
