The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump’s emissary Steve Witkoff, who took place on Friday in St. Petersburg in Russia, was “extremely useful and efficient,” said Kremlin on Monday.

“Such contacts are extremely useful and very effective,” the Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, the spokeswoman praised a communication channel that allows Russian and American leaders to discuss “different elements of their positions in all kinds of questions.”
