A 23 -year -old woman, accused of having harassed the family of Madeleine McCann and disappeared 18 years ago, declared himself without a guide, reports that the British media Sky News and the BBC on Tuesday, April 22.
Originally from the southwest of Poland, Julia Wandel, 23, is accused of making calls, left vocal messages, sent a letter and messages from Mesapp to parents Madeleine McCann, Kate and Gerry McCann.
She is also accused of having appeared at her family home twice last year and having sent Instagram messages to Sean and Amelie McCann, Madeleine’s brother and sister.
The young woman benefits from probation
In 2023, the young woman had claimed to be Madeleine on Instagram, but a DNA test showed that she was Polish. Subsequently, the young woman was arrested by the police at Bristol airport in the United Kingdom. She had to appear for an allegation hearing at the Assizice Court of Leicester on April 7.
A second woman, Karen Spragg, 60 years old and Wales, who was also arrested at the airport after sending letters and visiting the family’s house, also denied the accusations of harassment before Leicester’s first instance court.
A new audience on October 2
Julia Wandel was placed in pretrial detention, while Karen Spragg has benefited from a conditional bond. The two women should appear before Leicester’s crown is executed on October 2.
Madeleine’s disappearance has become one of the most mysterious children’s disappearance issues in the world. The girl was last seen in Algarve, Portugal, in 2007, when she was on vacation with her family.
