After several failed appeals, including one in front of the Supreme Court, a man was executed in the United States on Wednesday, April 23 for assaulting and killed a young woman in 2004. 41 years, months, Sandoval Mendoza was executed by lethal injection to the Huntsville prison, announced the services of the Texans prison.
The man, of Hispanic origin, was declared guilty of having assaulted and killed sexually, in 2004, Rachelle O’Neil Tolleson. Then he transported the body to a ditch, put it, before burying it under brush, according to judicial documents. The body had been discovered a few days later.

Several failed appeals
The condemned lawyer tried unsuccessfully to commute the capital fine in the life imprisonment, ensuring that his client would lead a peaceful life in captivity. However, the violence that opposed another detainee ruined this argument of the defense, and the Texas Court of Appeals rejected this appeal.
