Israeli aid is on a maximum alert this Wednesday, April 30 after the departure of several devastating fires, mainly west of Jerusalem, the most important in years, which have been several injured of light and have led to the evacuation of several municipalities.
Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the Army to be deployed to control these fires that extend rapidly due to violent winds and high temperatures, qualifying the situation of “national emergency.”
The emergency services of Magen David Adom said they had been in charge of at least 22 slightly injured, and added that the alert threshold was observed at its maximum level.

The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced the arrival of three Italian aircraft and Croatia “as soon as possible” to help fight fires.
“All available forces must be mobilized”
The Israeli police closed the road on Wednesday between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and evacuated the municipalities along this road axis, in an area already devastated by the fire a week ago.
“We are in a national emergency and all available forces must mobilize to save lives and master fires,” said Israel Katz in a statement.
The soldiers arrived at the place in the middle of the afternoon, according to an AFP journalist in the place, who saw them helping the evacuation of people trapped on the roads between thick clouds of black smoke.

At least five locations have been evacuated, police said. These locations are approximately 30 kilometers west of Jerusalem. The flames devour wooded areas near the Latrun Ralling road to bet on Shemesh and several helicopters strive to extinguish them. Fire spreading is facilitated by strong winds. Many drivers have abandoned their vehicle in the middle of the road and fled.
Motorcycle rescue
Ambulance teams have been placed near the municipalities near the fires and are ready to intervene, said a rescuer of MDA, Saar Shai. He added that a motorcyclist unit had been sent to help blocked people in traffic traffic jams.

“Ambulance teams, intensive care units and immediate intervention vehicles provide medical support for fire fighting near Neve Shalom and ESHTAOL,” the forest sectors to the west of Jerusalem, had previously declared emergency services.
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who supervises the fire control service, announced that he has been going to the scene. In a video, he said that additional efforts were made to help trapped residents.
Cancellation of events
Due to the climatic conditions, the minister responsible for the organization of national ceremonies, Miri Regev, announced the cancellation of the main demonstration of independence day scheduled for Wednesday night in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem City Council announced the cancellation of all the events scheduled for Wednesday night in the city for national holidays.
“Rescue and response services will not be able to participate in the safety of events,” said a firefighters spokesman, suggesting that many national vacations can be canceled.
Itamar Ben Gvir confirmed that he had asked for the cancellation of manifestations insured by firefighters so that they can remain mobilized in fires and “prepare for the deterioration of climatic conditions.”
