Russia attacked by more than one hundred Ukrainian drones, several closed airports

In total, Russia was attacked overnight from Tuesday by 105 Ukrainian drones, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Moscow went significantly and interrupted the operation of a dozen airports, according to Russian authorities.

Ukraine was launched during the night from Monday to Tuesday more than one hundred drones in the Russian territory, aimed at Moscow in particular and disturbing the operation of a dozen airports, Russian authorities said on Tuesday, May 6, three days before the commemorations of victory over Nazi Germany.

While the Russian capital welcomes a great military parade in the presence of Vladimir Putin on Friday and about twenty foreign leaders, its mayor Sergei Sobianine said that 19 drones aimed at him had been intercepted by the anti-vion defense, which increased the fears of the multiplication of this type of attack in the next few days.

The Russian president ordered a high fire between May 8 and 10, on the occasion of these important celebrations, without accepting the kyiv request of a “unconditional” trial of hostilities at this stage, which Ukraine had for his part so far maintained the vagueness of his military intentions during these three days.

105 drones, according to Russia

In Moscow, drone debris fell into a great road south of the Russian capital, according to their mayor Sergei Sobianine, without making a victim. The Russian media transmit images of a cracked supermarket showcase and a blackened facade of residential buildings. In total, Russia was attacked during the night by 105 Ukrainian drones, said the Russian Defense Ministry in a statement.

Four capital airports: Chérétiévo, Domodedovo, Venukovo and Joukovski- impose temporary operational restrictions during the night, some temporarily closed their tracks, according to the Russian agency responsible for civil aviation, Rossaviatsia.

The operation of several other Russian airports had to be temporarily interrupted, especially in several large cities of Volga, such as Nijni Novgorod, Samara, Saratov or Volgograd. The latter is the old Stalingrad, theater of the deadliest battle in history, which had seen the defeat of the sixth Nazi Army in 1942-1943 and was considered a turning point in World War II.

The governors of the regions of southern Voronej and Penza indicated that respectively 18 and 10 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted in their territory, without making victims. In the border region of Koursk, a Ukrainian attack wounded two adolescents aged 14 and 17 and caused power outages, said interim governor Alexandre Khinsteïn.

A HIGH FIRE OF THREE DAYS, FROM MAY 8

During the night from Sunday to Monday, Russia had indicated that he had intercepted an attack of drones aimed at Moscow, rarely directed and where life remains almost normal despite the great large -scale offensive launched in February 2022 by the Russian army in Ukraine. On the Ukrainian side, a Russian unmanned aircraft strike left a dead man in the Odessa region, according to Governor Oleg Kiper.

Another person was killed, and two other wounds, including a “serious”, in a Russian strike against Kramorsk, very close to the eastern front, local authorities said. AFP journalists have heard a series of explosions at night.

Russia said it would observe a high three -day fire from May 8 to 10, during the commemorations of victory over Nazi Germany during World War II. Ukraine has not clearly said if he intended to follow this truce announced by Vladimir Putin, President Volodymyr Zelensky ensuring “not believing” that Russian forces would respect this surprise announcement.

The Russian president had already unilaterally decreed a high fire during the weekend of Pascal in April, which had led to a fall in the fight without being fully respected by the two fields. He has always refused to stop hostilities without a response of 30 days offered by Kyiv and Washington.
