War in Ukraine: Vladimir Putin offers “direct negotiations” with Kyiv in Istanbul

The Russian president proposed to kyiv this Sunday, May 11 to resume “direct negotiations” in Istanbul on May 15.

Vladimir Putin proposed to Ukraine during a speech in front of the press this Sunday, May 11 at night to resume “direct negotiations” in Istanbul in Türkiye on May 15.

“We call Kyiv to reopen the direct negotiations interrupted in 2022,” said the Russian president.

The Kremlin teacher requires that these negotiations be “undocumented” and relate to “the roots of the conflict.”

If Vladimir Putin issued this proposal, he did not respond to the ultimatum of European and Ukraine leaders issued the day before pressing it to accept a high “complete and unconditional” fire of 30 days from Monday.

If Russia rejects this high fire or accepts it, but violates it: “We are approved that mass sanctions would be prepared and coordinated between Europeans and Americans,” Emmanuel Macron told kyiv along with German Friedrich Merz, British Starmer Keir and the Polish Donald Tusk.
