A French mountaineer died in Nepal when testing the rise of the Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak on the planet (8,586 m), located in the Himalayas chain, we learned this Monday, May 12, the organizers of the expedition.
Margareta Morin, 63, died on Saturday morning while in camp 6 at the top of the summit, Yogendra Tamangra Tamangra, Peak 15 Adventure told AFP.
“She was a victim of a health problem during the ascent, probably a stroke caused by mountain disease,” he added. “We couldn’t recover your body due to the weather.”
Third death from the beginning of the season
This death has been the third on the slopes of the Himalayas since the opening of the printemps des printemps des as ascension (April-June). An Austrian climber died recently when he returned from the summit of Ama Dablam and another, an American, in the rise of Makalu.
