Three fires in recent days
These charges are related to three events: the fire of a vehicle on May 8 in the Kentish Town district in northern London, a fire in front of the entrance to a property in the Islington district, also north of the capital on Sunday, then a fire in the old residence of the Prime Minister in the district of the city of Kentish on Sunday night to Monday, the prosecutor’s office detailed.
The head of government lived in the latter until its installation at 10, Downing Street, in July 2024. It remains the owner, according to the British media. The man was arrested early Tuesday and put in police custody.
It would appear on Friday before the Westminster Court in London. The Metropolitan Police had indicated that the investigation had been entrusted to its anti -terrorist unit “because the property was linked to a high -level public figure.”
