The result of Russian-Ukrainian conversations dislikes European leaders. Emmanuel Macron had already declared before this busy meeting that Russia “did not want to” conclude a high fire in Ukraine. “The last hours have shown that Russia did not want a high fire and (that) if there is no greater pressure from Europeans and Americans to obtain this result, it will not be spontaneous,” he said, in reference to new sanctions, in the opening of a summit of the European political community (CPE).
Russia said he was “satisfied”
Europeans are now trying to convince, from Albania, United States to participate in new sanctions against Moscow to accentuate the pressure.
Russia, meanwhile, said he was “satisfied” for the voice of his negotiator of the first peace conversations since 2022 with Ukraine. “In general, we are satisfied with the result and ready to continue contacts,” said Vladimir Medinski during a brief speech before the press.
The Russian and Ukrainian negotiators announced after their conversations in Istanbul, after mentioning the possibility of establishing a high fire, organizing a meeting between the presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky and predict an exchange of prisoners of 1,000 people from each camp.
