While negotiations between Moscow and kyiv are blocked, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this “damping zone” on Thursday, May 22, would be created on the Ukrainian border.
“I have already said that a decision had been made to create the necessary security cushion zone along the borders. Our armed forces are now working on this task,” he said.
“The enemy’s shooting stations are eliminated, the work is underway,” said Kremlin’s master who evoked the situation in Koursk, Belgorod and Brita border oblarts.
“Raids de Drones”, “Sabotage Action”
Vladimir Putin justified this decision of “Raids de Drones”, “Sabotage actions” and “recognition groups that seek civil transport, including ambulances, agricultural machines, women and children killed and injured.”
The Russian president, however, did not give details about the site of the proposed damping zone or during his distance.
He had already mentioned the need to create a damping area on the Ukrainian border. A year ago, Vladimir Putin said, for example, that a Russian offensive was aimed at creating a damping zone in the Jharkiv region, in the Northeast of Ukraine to protect Belgorod’s Russian border region, reminds the US news agency Associated Press.
According to Moscow, almost 160 Ukrainian drones, launched in retaliation by the Russian invasion of February 2022, have been intercepted in the last twelve hours of the country.
