North Korea: Three managers of a shipyard arrested after the failed launch of a destroyer

On Wednesday, the launch of a new warship in the port of Chongjin turned to the Fiasco and met lying aside. Kim Jong-un considered that this incident was increasing the “dignity of the State.”

After having denounced a “criminal act” that contains the “dignity of the State”, Kim Jong-un promised to justify the officials of the lost launch of a destroyer in the port of Chongjin. North Korean authorities arrested three shipyard officials, state media, cities not Associated Press this Sunday, May 25, May 25, May 25, May 25.

These three sustained officials are the chief engineer, the head of the Casco construction workshop and the Deputy Director of Administrative Affairs of the Shipyard. Earlier this week, the director of the shipyard had been summoned to be interrogated.

On Wednesday, Kim Jong-un and his daughter Ju-Ae were present to attend the launch of the 5,000-ton ship when the ceremony became Fiasco. According to Kcna, the North Korean State Agency, the “lateral launch attempt” of the ship did not come out as planned and was aside, as tested in satellite images.

Damage “without gravity”

“No violation was made at the bottom of the ship” and the damage suffered is “without gravity”, but “the starboard has been scratched and a certain amount of sea water entered the rear section by emergency exit,” Kcna said.

North Korea experts estimated on Friday that “it took two or three days to restore the balance of the war ship pumping seawater from the flooded section” and that the restoration of the destroyer’s helmet should take ten days. According to Associated Press, many analysts believe, however, that Pyongyang has minimized damage.

If the name of the damaged ship is unknown, it could benefit from equipment similar to those of Choe Hyon, a destroyer released, successfully, last month. According to some experts, it is likely that the latter is equipped with short -range tactical missiles.

The South Korean army believes that Choe Hyon may have been developed with the help of Moscow, probably in exchange for the thousands of North Korea troops sent to Russia to help the country against Ukraine. Analysts also believe that the ship assigned by the accident in its launch could also be built with the help of Russia.
