Donald Trump hardens the tone against Vladimir Putin and now ensures that “he has become completely crazy.” Despite his optimism and numerous exchanges in recent weeks with the Russian president to allow conversations and a high fire between Russia and Ukraine, Donald Trump condemned Russian attacks against Ukraine this weekend.
“I’ve always had very good relations with Russian (president) Vladimir Putin, but something happened to him. He has become completely crazy!” Donald Trump wrote on the social network of the social network. “He unnecessarily kills many people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are fired in Ukrainian cities, without any reason.”
“I always said that I wanted all Ukraine, not just a game, and maybe it turns out to be correct, but if it does, it will lead to the fall of Russia!” He added.
Volodymyr Zelensky also takes it for its great. “He does not help his country talking as he does. Everything he says creates problems, I don’t like, and it is better to stop,” Donald Trump also wrote in his message, without hiding his frustration towards the Ukrainian President.
Bombings intensify
A new air alert was launched this Monday morning throughout the Ukrainian territory after two nights of intense bombing. According to the Ukraine Air Force, the country underwent a combined 367 projectile attack on Sunday, including 69 missiles and 298 drones, after other mass attacks on the previous night.
The Ukrainian authorities reported 13 dead, including four in the kyiv region, as well as three children in the Jytomyr (Northwest) region. During the night from Friday to Saturday, about 250 drones and 14 ballistic missiles had been detected, mainly pointing to the capital.
The US president says that he wants a rapid end of the war between Ukraine, but, despite his optimism, he was published again last Monday after a call of almost two hours with his Russian counterpart, the bombings intensified with 13 dead on the Ukrainian side on Sunday morning.
“The EU affirms the strongest international pressure on Russia”
The Russian army said he had hit business in the “military-industrial complex” on these two nights. These attacks pushed kyiv and his European allies to call to punish Moscow, the head of the EU Kaja Kallas affirms “the strongest international pressure on Russia”, while Berlin denounced “an afflant, even towards US president Donald Trump, who made so much to take Putin to the negotiating table.”
In another call to Washington, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, considered that “the silence of America and others only encourage Putin.” But Donald Trump is still evasive in any concrete action directed to Russia, simply responding on Sunday night “absolutely” when asked about the possibility of strengthening US sanctions.
Since mid -February, the US administration of Donald Trump has increased calls to a high fire and has approached Moscow, without a convincing result. The Ukraine and Russia approaches are opposed: kyiv requests a cessation of high “unconditional” fire of 30 days to allow peace discussions, while Moscow begins from the beginning that negotiations must be “simultaneously” to fighting.
