In a note, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau, said that “it was with deep pain and consternation” that he learned of the physical death of Gelson Caio Manuel Mendes, stage name ‘Nagrelha’, from the musical group “Os Lambas”. .

‘Nagrelha’, 36, born in Luanda, died today at the D. Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital (Luanda Sanatorium), leaving a widow and four children.

The singer, considered the “Kuduro General Staff”, during the illness even traveled to the Portuguese city of Porto, due to respiratory problems, a fight that lasted seven months.

“‘Nagrelha’ is the Kudu singer with the largest legion of fans in Angola, one of the founders of the group ‘Os Lambas’, with a peculiar way of singing, she won the Kuduro in 2000”, underlines the note from the Ministry of Culture . and Tourism.
