The authorities of Soumy, the Northeast Region of Russia Border Ukraine, announced on Saturday, May 31, the mandatory evacuation of eleven villages due to the “bombings”, kyiv fearing a Russian offensive in the area.
“This decision was made given the constant threat that weighs the lives of civilians due to the bombardment of border towns,” said the regional administration of Soumy.
Russia has claimed the villages there in recent weeks, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of massaging soldiers on the border in order to an offensive.
