North Korea defended his military cooperation on Monday with Russia on Monday, claiming that these links aimed to “guarantee peace and stability” in Europe and Asia.
Moscow and Pyongyang have strengthened their military cooperation in recent years, North Korea providing weapons and troops to support the Russian war against Ukraine.
Around 600 North Korean soldiers were killed and thousands of other injured in the fight along with Russia, according to a deputy of South Korea, citing the country’s intelligence services.

A group of monitoring of multilateral sanctions, composed of South Korea, the United States, Japan and eight other countries, condemned these links on Friday as “illegal.” In response, Pyongyang said that his cooperation with Moscow was aimed at “protecting sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests of states”, as well as “guaranteeing peace and stability in the Eurasian region.”

Ammunition deliveries between the two countries
Its creation follows the veto of Russia to a resolution of the Security Council that ended the Pyongyang monitoring system of the UN sanctions, first implemented in 2006 and reinforced several times from then on.
According to the group, beating the Russian Pavilion of positions has delivered “nine million mixed artillery ammunition and multiple rocket launchers” in 2024 from North Korea to Russia.
