“Terrorist” attack in Colorado: Israel denounces an anti -Semitic act favored by “the media”

In a message posted in X, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saarn said he was “shocked by (the) terrible anti -Semitic terrorist attack aimed at Jews”

Following the attack against a demonstration for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza, which caused several injured in Boulder, in the state of Colorado, Israeli Foreign Minister denounced on Monday, June 2, an anti -Semitic law favored “by the media.”

“Surprised by this terrible anti -memitic terrorist attack aimed at Jews in Boulder, Colorado,” writes Gideon Saar in his X account. “He is anti -Semitism in his pure state, fed by accusations of ritual murders [contre les Juifs] Propagated in the media, “he wrote.

The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, denounced an attack against “peaceful people who wanted to express their solidarity with the hostages retained by Hamas, simply because they were Jews,” in a press release from his office.

“The anti -Semitic attacks in the world are the direct result of the accusations of ritual murders against the Jewish State and the people, and it is necessary to put an end to it,” he added.

Eight people injured

The head of the Israeli opposition, the centrist Yaïr Lapid, deplored “a new act of anti -Semitic violence.”

“We are all horrified by the violent terrorist attack perpetrated in Colorado against peaceful protesters who simply demanded the liberation of our hostages. This is a new act of anti -Semitic violence, a direct consequence of the extreme rhetoric that has attributed the flames of anti -Semitism,” he wrote in his account X.

On Sunday, eight people from 52 to 88 were injured in Colorado by a man reinforced with incendiary machines in an attack that the American Federal Police (FBI) described as “terrorist”, during a demonstration for the release of Israeli hostages selected in the Gaza Strip.

Of 251 people kidnapped on October 7, 2023 during the attack on the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas that caused the war with Israel, 57 remain held in the Gaza Strip, at least 34 of them dead, according to Israeli authorities.

Israel faces a growing international pressure to end war in the Palestinian territory, where the humanitarian situation is disastrous.
