The evacuations of the inhabitants continue this Wednesday, June 4 in the center of Canada, affected by large forest fires described as “monsters” by firefighters that are activated around several villages threatened by flame on Wednesday.
For several days, the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba have faced Megafeux who have pressed them to declare the state of emergency. Throughout the country, more than 200 fires are active, half of which are tested outside control, and seven fires were observed this Wednesday.
Tens of thousands of evacuees
In the rodent, in Saskatchewan, the flames entered the city and destroyed stores. The municipality was evacuated. In total in the country, more than 31,000 people were forced to evacuate their home often to take refuge in hundreds of kilometers of their home.
“We face a monster. The last hours have been chaotic,” firefighters from this small town of 2,500 inhabitants found in a region where several of the largest active fires are burning.
One of them has already consumed more than 470,000 hectares and is still out of control and a little further west, which is not dominated, more than 140,000 hectares.
Near the city of Flin Flon in Manitoba, evacuated last week, the flames continue to approach and surround the city, according to the mayor. Firefighters from all over the country are on alert and 140 Americans are already present in the Canadian territory to help them.

Contaminated air to the United States
The smoke of the fire also continues to generate the quality of the air considered dangerous in the center of Canada, in certain parts of the north of the United States and a misty sky in the east. The National Meteorological Service issued an air quality alert for New York and its surroundings on Wednesday.
Hennepin Healthcare, the main emergency hospital in Minneapolis, pointed out a slight increase in visits of patients with respiratory symptoms aggravated by contaminated air, AP reports.
The smoke columns even crossed the Atlantic were already visible from the French coast.
Climate change
Strong winds and lack of planned rain could lead to deterioration in climatic conditions in the coming days, warns meteorologists, informed by the New York Times. According to specialists, climate change aggravates these conditions.
The two provinces experienced an intense heat greater than the average is spring. Combined with a high -pressure stationary system in the center of Canada, which causes air and drying, this phenomenon favored the favorable conditions for fire outputs.
The fires were also declared in the north of the province of Alberta, which caused evacuation orders for around 4,000 people.

Increasingly frequent and intense fires
Every summer, Canada faces forest fires, but this beginning of the season concerned about its precocity and virulence: 2.2 million hectares have already burned, more than the Slovenia area.
With global warming, Canada is increasingly affected by extreme climatic events. And the country remains traumatized by the summer of 2023, which was apocalyptic with 15 million hectares burned.
Most fires have so far been triggered by human activities, often accidentally, particularly due to evil fleeting fires or the passage of a train or all land vehicles in a very dry landscape.
