Donald Trump said the National Guard soldiers deployed in Los Angeles against the Council of Local Authorities to face the demonstrations against their migration policy, were going to restore the “order.”
The American Democratic governors denounced on Sunday, June 8, an “abuse of alarming power” by US President Donald Trump, who deployed 2,000 soldiers of the National Guard in Los Angeles, with the Council of the Democratic Governor of California, Gavin Newsom.
“President Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard in California is an abuse of alarming power,” the governors said in a joint statement. “It is important that we resume the executive authority of the governors of our country to administer their national guards,” they added, insisting on their support for Gavin Newsom.
