Almost 800 people, according to the UN, have been killed since the end of May trying to obtain humanitarian aid in Gaza, where the shots near a distribution site have killed again this Friday, July 11, while the Israeli army said that “he learned” from fatal incidents.
The distribution of the aid, vital for the more than two million inhabitants of the Sitiad Palestinian territory, constitutes, according to Hamas, one of the challenges of indirect negotiations in progress in Qatar to try to move towards a truce between Israel and the Islamist movement, after 21 months of war.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday, hoping that an agreement on a 60 -day truce, including the release of ten hostages selected in the Gaza Strip, can be found “in a few days.”
He also said he was ready to negotiate a permanent fire, provided that Hamas is demilitarized and abandons the government of the territory.
“Most of the injuries are ball injuries”
Hamas, on the other hand, recalled several times that required the Israeli withdrawal of Gaza, “guarantees” the permanent nature of a high fire and a recovery of humanitarian aid by the UN and recognized international organizations.
Israel had softened at the end of May, the hermetic block imposed for two months in the Gaza Strip and since May 26, the distribution of aid, previously administered by the United Nations, is entrusted to the Humanitarian Foundation of Gaza (GHF), an organization supported by the United States and Israel.
The UN High Human Rights Commissioner announced Friday in Geneva that he had registered 798 deaths of people seeking help between July 27 and 7, including 615 near GHF sites. “Most of the injuries are ball injuries,” said the high commission.
The UN and the main humanitarian organizations refuse to work with GHF, saying that Israeli military objectives serve and violates the basic humanitarian principles.
Shots near the organization centers
The Israeli army had already admitted to having opened fire towards “suspicious” that presented a “threat” near the centers of the organization, where the immense crowds are full every day.
“The in -depth exams were carried out (…) and the instructions were transmitted to the field on the ground after learning the lessons,” he said Friday, in response to the figures announced by the UN.
The Civil Defense of Gaza announced the death of 20 people on Friday in several Israeli military operations, including ten who were waiting to receive help near Rafah, in the south of the territory.
He also declared that he had dismantled in recent days “a terrorist cell” in Khan Younès, also in the south, entering military weapons and equipment and destroying a tunnel approximately one kilometer long.
