War in Ukraine: Moscow says he is ready to negotiate again, but accuses kyiv of “taking his time”

Negotiations with a point of view of a diplomatic result for the conflict in Ukraine are blocked. The Kremlin says he is ready for a third cycle, but accuses kyiv of not responding to his requests.

After several economic conversations of conversations between Moscow and kyiv, the diplomatic process is in point of point to end the war in Ukraine, launched in February 2022 by the Russian invasion.

In a statement transmitted by the Russian state agency Tass, Kremlin Dmitry Peskov spokesman said Russia was ready for a third cycle of negotiations, but accused kyiv of decelerating the process.

“kyiv clearly takes his time. We are still waiting for proposals on deadlines. The Russian party is willing to continue and organize a third cycle (negotiations),” he said.

It is not very fruitful

The second cycle of bilateral conversations, without concrete results, was held on June 2 in Istanbul. Russia had rejected any prolonged truce and demanded, to end the conflict, that Ukraine sold it in particular four regions, in addition to the Crimean Peninsula Annexa in 2014, and that kyiv renounces NATO.

Unacceptable conditions for Ukraine that had stated, with their European allies, an unconditional truce of 30 days before peace negotiations with Moscow and all the withdrawal of the Russian army from their territory.

From his return to the White House in January, Donald Trump has tried to approach his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, and negotiate with him the end of the invasion of Ukraine. But, while the process is stagnant, the US president seems to be impatient and said last week to be “disappointed” by Vladimir Putin. He also promised for this Monday, July 14, an “important” statement about Russia, without specifying its nature.

A few hours ago, Volodymyr Zelensky spoke in kyiv with the special American envoy Keith Kellogg, describing a “productive conversation.” The Ukrainian president said he was “grateful” to his American counterpart for “the important signs of support and positive decisions for our two countries.”

A reference to Donald Trump’s announcement on Sunday, who promised Ukraine to send more anti -Vion Patriot defense systems. “We have discussed the way to peace and what we can do specifically to approach it,” wrote the Ukrainian president on social networks.
