“They know what their work is”: the German army ready to kill Russian soldiers in case of an attack against NATO

Boris Pistorius, German Federal Defense Minister, assured Financial Times on Monday, July 14 that in case of an attack against a NATO member country, Bundeswehr’s troops were ready to kill Russian soldiers.

Germany shows the teeth in front of Russia. Although the tensions have remained strong for three years on borders, it is from the Atlantic Alliance, the German Defense Minister said, this Monday, July 14 with the Financial Times, that his troops were ready to kill Russian soldiers in case of an attack on a NATO member country.

“If the deterrence does not work and Russia’s attacks, will it happen? Yes,” said Boris Pistorius.

Another fact of a weapon through the RIN on May 22, the German army inaugurated the deployment of a brigade of 5,000 men in Lithuania, a country that borders Russia. “I recommend that you go to Vilnius and talk to the representatives of the German Brigade on the spot. They know exactly what their work is,” said the minister.

A statement, which detonates the restriction culture traditionally occupied by Germany and the Bundeswehr in military issues, especially from World War II.

“We have to make our contribution”

The Federal Minister “has always been convinced that if we want to talk about peace and relaxation on equal terms, we can only do it from a position of force, in the height of the eyes,” he told the British newspaper.

“We want to live in peace with you, but we do not believe that we are weak or that we will not defend ourselves. It is still true today,” continues Boris Pistorius.

“The British, the Americans and the French were in Germany to protect our eastern flank,” he said, referring to the presence of foreign soldiers when Germany was still cut in two by the iron curtain. “Today, Lithuania, the Baltic States and Poland constitute the eastern flank and we must make our contribution,” said German defense minister.

On June 15, Germany celebrated a “Veterans Day” when the country wants to acquire “the most powerful army in Europe.” The population, previously pacifist, openly famous for the first time in 80 years.

A historical turning point, which does not happen without getting hooked in Germany, while the Pacifist Ala, including a former party president, published a “manifesto” that punishes a “alarmist military rhetoric” of the government and advocated dialogue with Russia.
