Violence in southern Syria left more than 500 dead, according to a new evaluation published Thursday by the Syrian Human Rights Observatory (OSDH), after several days of confrontation.
The OSDH counted among the victims of 79 fighters of Druzes and 154 civilians of Soueida, including 83 people “summarily executed by members of the Ministries of Defense and Interior.”
The fight that began on Sunday also cost the lives of 243 members of government forces and 18 Beduine combatants, in addition to three members of Beduine tribes “summarily executed by Drusos fighters,” according to the NGO. In addition, 15 members of government forces were killed in Israeli strikes.
