Since this military defeat, Russia has carried out numerous missile attacks on strategic locations in Ukraine, including the electrical infrastructure that has deprived millions of compatriots of President Volodymyr Zelensky of electricity.
This escalation, for which Germany is preparing, could “include the destruction of infrastructure,” added Olaf Scholz.
On November 4, the Foreign Minister traveled to China to meet with Xi Jinping. He then hailed the agreement with the Chinese president to say that he opposes a nuclear escalation in the war in Ukraine. He also urged Xi Jinping to convince Russia to end its invasion of Ukraine.
