Children expelled from an airplane: supervisors deny any bad behavior and have a complaint against Vueling

In a statement published on July 24, the Kineret Association Club, for the voice of his lawyer, said that the minors in question were “sitting in their place” and “respectful of the rules and staff.” It requires public apologies and the opening of an investigation.

The Kineret club association, in charge of adolescents of the Jewish confession landed by a volume plane, announced on Thursday, July 24 in a statement that it has filed a complaint against the airline.

She formally denies the comments of Vueling, who said in another press release that he had achieved several dozen children due to the incidents they would have caused.

“The facts are clear, serious, established and corroborated by multiple testimonies. They describe a scene of a rare and unjustified brutality, and obviously marked with partiality: 44 children were disembarked from the plane, without valid explanation, in order of the captain,” writes Julie Jacob, lawyer of the Kineret association club.

These children, supervised by 7 adults, “were sitting instead, respectful of rules and staff. Without incident, without threat, no inappropriate behavior has been reported.”

Public apologies are required

On July 23, around forty minors and several of its accompanying people were landed from a plane from Valence, Spain, bound for Paris Orly.

One of the children’s mother told I24 News that the situation deteriorated when one of them began to sing. “He sang a song in Hebrew, and the staff threatened to call the police,” he said, denouncing “an anti -Semitic act.”

The Vueling airlines denied in a press release the anti -Semitic nature of their intervention and explains that the children and their managers remained of the plane due to the “inappropriate” behavior, even “aggressive” and “violent”. A behavior that required the intervention of the Civil Guard.

For its part, the lawyer of the Kineret Association says that several passengers present at the time of the events “wrote written certificates that confirmed that the children represented any public order disorder or the safety of the flight.”

The lawyer also argues that the common element to the whole group is their religious visibility: several children carried a Kipá, others of Jewish symbols such as David’s star. “No other circumstance can explain the treatment inflicted on this group of children,” deplores.

Parallel to your complaint, the association intends to “alert” associations for the defense of the rights of the child and the fight against anti -Semitism. It requires the opening of an investigation, the public apologies of the airlines in volume, “as well as the concrete guarantees for such practices never happen again.” In addition to the discriminatory law, the Kineret Club believes that this case is “a deeply worrying sign for the safety of all Jewish passengers in Europe.”
