A mix-up early Sunday at a country party in Piracicaba, a city in the interior of São Paulo state, ended with two dead and one injured. So far there have been no arrests.
According to the G1 website, which quotes the Marechaussee, there was a riot during the headliners’ concert and three people were shot.
Two of those people – a 23-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man – eventually died.
The third person shot, a 27-year-old man, is in hospital.
The G1 alleges the deceased man’s sister informed authorities that her brother was at the party with a friend and was trying to break up some arguments, when the attacker pulled out a gun and started shooting.
The suspect has not yet been identified and this incident has been registered by authorities as murder and attempted murder, the same source reports.
