Lebanon: a Hezbollah missile production site led by Israeli strikes

The Israeli defense minister on Wednesday that several attacks by the Israeli army took place in Bekaa Plain, south of Lebanon, in “the largest precision missile production site in Hezbollah.”

The Israeli army directed the bombing in Lebanon to the “infrastructure” of Hezbollah, including an “important missile production site,” announced Israel Katz Israeli Minister Israel Katz on Thursday, July 31.

The Army “attacks the terrorist infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon, including the largest precision missiles in Hezbollah that had already been attacked, which had already been attacked,” said Israel Katz in a statement.

These bombings took place in the plain of Bekaa in the southeast of Lebanon, said the army in another press release.

“Maximum repression policy”

“Among the successful objectives were the explosive manufacturing sites, used to develop the Arsenal of Hezbollah, as well as an underground site dedicated to the production and storage of strategic weapons,” added the army, saying that “Hezbollah has tried to rehabilitate these sites and these capabilities, in violation of the agreements between Israel and Lanón.”

The National Agency for Information Lebanese, meanwhile, reported several air attacks in the eastern region of Bekaa, as well as in the south of Lebanon.

“As I have already pointed out, the policy of maximum repression against Hezbollah will continue”, and any attempt of this organization “to recover, replace or threaten again will be followed by a relentless response,” said Minister Katz.

“The Lebanese government is responsible for preventing the violation of the high fire agreement,” he accused.

At the end of November 2024, the high fire ended the war between Israel and the Lebanese armed movement supported by Iran.

Despite this agreement, which entered into force after more than a year of hostilities and two months of open war that had strongly weakened Hezbollah, Israel regularly directs strikes over Lebanon, mainly in the south.

Israel keeps its soldiers in five points in Lebanon

The Israeli army claims to point to Hezbollah and accuses the Lebanese authorities of not acting enough to disarm it.

According to the truce agreement, Hezbollah had to withdraw his fighters north of the Litani River, about 30 kilometers from the border with Israeli the Lebanese army and the United Nations peace maintenance forces to be deployed in the sector.

Israel, who had to completely withdraw his troops from Lebanon, keeps them in five positions in the southern country, which strategic judges.
