Donald Trump’s emissary promises more humanitarian aid after a visit to Gaza

Visiting the Gaza Strip, Steve Witkoff said that humanitarian aid would be increased this Friday, August 1. The distribution system and the limited amounts are denounced by the NGOs on the site.

The American emissary Steve Witkoff visited the war devastated by war on Friday, August 1, promising to increase humanitarian aid there, when the pressure increases in Israel against human losses in the Palestinian hungry territory.

Upstream of this visit for the emissary of President Donald Trump, the NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) punished the aid distribution system established by Israel and the United States through the Humanitarian Foundation in Gaza (GHF), which, according to her, became a “fatal trap” for Gazaouis.

The threat of a “generalized famine”

After almost 22 months of a devastating war launched by a bloody attack by Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023, the Gaza strip besieged by Israel is threatened with a “generalized famine” according to the UN and depends completely on humanitarian aid.

Meanwhile, the Israeli bombings and fire continued in the Palestinian territory, where civil defense reported that 22 Palestinians killed, including eight who expected help.

“What did our sons and our daughters do? What did the boys do to deserve this famine? Have mercy on us!” Walk to the sixties Yasmine Al-Farra at the Nasser hospital in Khan Younès (South), where his son killed.

Steve Witkoff and American ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, visited a GHF center in the morning to know the truth about the help sites, “Mike Huckabee said.

“People nourish”

Steve Witkoff clarified about X that his visit, of “more than five hours”, directed “to provide @potus (President Trump) a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and develop a plan destined to deliver food and medical aid to the inhabitants of Gaza.” According to the American site Axios, Trump said that working in a plan in Gaza “feed people.”

The GHF launched its operations at the end of May, after almost three months of total humanitarian block imposed by Israel, dismissing the aid system established by the UN. Since then, 1,373 Palestinians waiting for help have been killed in Gaza, including 859 near GHF sites, an organization with opaque funds, “most” by the Israeli army, the UN said.

In a report, HRW denounced a “militarized” humanitarian system that caused the “blood bath” NGO according to the NGO. She described as “war crimes” the “murders of Palestinians in search of food, for Israeli forces.” The Israeli army, requested by the AFP, said the reports of civil victims near the distribution areas.

During the past week, the airplanes from several countries have eliminated food in Gaza. Israeli authorities have announced that international organizations distributed more than 200 aid trucks on Thursday. International agencies judge these insufficient aid and, according to trucks without 6,000, they expect the Israeli green light to enter Gaza.

A meeting with Netyahu

Steve Witkoff, who went to Gaza in January, met the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, under pressure in Israel to maintain his commitments to destroy Hamas and free the Israeli kidnapped on October 7, and abroad to silence weapons in Gaza.

The October 7 attack led to the Israeli side of 1,219 people in the Israelis, mostly civilians, according to an AFP count made of official data. Of the 251 people kidnapped that day, 49 are still hostage in Gaza, 27 of which were declared dead by the Army.

The retaliation offensive launched by Israel in Gaza, left at least 60,249 dead, mostly civilians, according to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, considered reliable by the UN.

An Israeli hostage video transmission

On Friday, Hamas transmitted a video of an Israeli hostage, identified by Israeli media such as Evyatar David, 24. The hostage seems to be weight loss and visibly weakened, arrested in a tunnel. AFP could not determine the authenticity of the video, nor the date of its recording.

In a research report published on Friday, the British public channel BBC said that testimonies of medical personnel, human rights groups and witnesses in more than 160 children affected by the war in Gaza had collected. He added that 95 had been affected in the head or chest and that, according to witnesses, 57 of them were attacked by the Israeli army.

Questioned about this issue, the Israeli army said that “any intentional attack against civilians, and in particular children, is strictly prohibited” by the Israeli army and international law.
