Two days after his disappearance, Lisa Girard-Fabre, a 23-year-old French French, was found dead on Monday, August 4, near Angkor’s Buddhist temple, near the city of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
According to local authorities, cited by the Cambodian newspaper Khmer Times, Tarn’s young woman died of heart arrest after having run at a long distance. “I would like to point out that the victim’s death is not linked to any crime or murder,” said Provincial Police assistant of Siempo Reap.
“There were no injuries to his body or any brand of violence,” Lieutenant Colonel Sok Meng Eangeg Eangg of the Siem Reap police, and added that personal issues, including his phone, had been found on the scene and his clothes was in good condition.
The victim was preparing the half marathon
In mid-June, the young woman had announced on Facebook to prepare the Angkor Half-Charathon, which will take place this Sunday, August 3. General description for the last time on Saturday, when he went to jog, the disappearance of Lisa Girard-Fabre had been reported by his friends the same day.

After four months of Autop’s trip from Paris to Phnom Penh, Lisa settled in Cambodia in 2024 and was volunteered in the Smile Association of a child.
“He was a good volunteer who helped a child’s smile. He loved Cambodian children and wanted to help them,” NGO assistant director, told Khmer Times.
