Jewish passengers who had ordered Kosher menus on a flight from the Spanish company Iberia have received the “free Palestinian” record, we learned on Tuesday, August 5 from an association and the company.
The incident occurred on the flight of IB0102 from Buenos Aires on Monday at noon for Madrid, said the delegation of Argentine Israelite associations (DAIA) in a press release, which denounces a “serious act of anti -Semitism.”
During the flight, he arrived in the Spanish capital on Tuesday morning, one of the passengers received a meal with the message “Free Palestine” added to the pen in the packaging, according to the association, which publishes a photo of the plateau on its website.
“Other Jewish passengers have also received their sets with the initials of FP,” the organization specifies, which ensures that “will contact the company’s officials to demand immediate explanations and actions” in the face of this “discriminatory act.”
In a statement, Iberia admitted the incident and specified that he had launched “an in -depth investigation, both internally and with external suppliers responsible for the catering service, to clarify the facts.”
“The Iberia crew documented the events and was involved to respond to the concerns of the passengers in question. The commander personally apologized on behalf of the company,” explains the Spanish operator.
“Such behaviors are unacceptable and contrary to the values of respect and inclusion that constitute an essential part of the identity” of Iberia, adds the company, which promises to “take all necessary measures.”
