China: at least eight dead and four people disappeared in floods in the north of the country

Eight people died and four are missing after sudden floods in the Interior region of Mongolia in northern China, state media announced on Sunday, August 17.

The Ministry of Emergency Operations ordered the deployment of large -scale emergency efforts, the verification of the state of missing persons and sent a team on the ground, said CCTV State Television.

Frequent natural disasters during the summer

Natural disasters often reach China, especially during the summer, when certain regions are beaten by heavy rains, while others suffer from overwhelming heat.

The torrential rains had already committed suicide in early August in the province of Gansu, in northwest China, killing at least 13 people, according to Chinese state media.

In July, torrential rains north of Beijing killed 44 people, taking the authorities to a rare mea guilt.

China is the largest greenhouse gases transmitter, which causes climate change and contributes to extreme and intense climatic phenomena according to experts.
