The US military intelligence chief returned after a report on strikes in Iran

The head of military intelligence in the United States was fired after the publication of a report on the attacks carried out in Iran, according to a senior US official.

A senior official announced on Friday the dismissal of the head of military intelligence to the United States, after the publication of a report on strikes carried out by the United States in Iran, which would have disgusted Donald Trump a lot.

The dismissal of Lieutenant General Jeffrey Kruse, who had maintained this function since the beginning of 2024, came shortly after his services estimated that US strikes in June had delayed Tehran’s nuclear program for several years.

This report, whose press has echoed, differs significantly from Donald Trump’s claims, who is tidal that the attacks in question have completely destroyed the target nuclear sites.

Jeffrey Kruse “will no longer assume the functions of the director of Dia (Defense Intelligence Agency),” said the senior military official, under the cover of anonymity. He did not advance any reason for this dismissal.

Since his return to power, the Republican leader has presided over the dismissal of several senior Pentagon officials, starting with the chief of armies staff, Charles Brown, thanked in February without explanation.

Defense Minister Pete Hegesh, a faithful of Donald Trump, defends the president’s right to choose the leaders of the army as he considers it convenient, but the democrats chosen were worried about a possible politicization of the latter.

National guard

Pete Hegesh had led the counterattack after the military intelligence report on Iran’s attacks circulated in the press.

According to him, the document “leaked because someone wants to possess (…) to believe that these historical strikes were not a success.” Donald Trump, whom his former staff chief had described as an “aspiring dictator”, made loyalty the main criteria to recruit his second term.

This logic also applies to the army, historically neutral, for which it has an unrerected fascination.

The US president, for example, organized a rare military parade on June 14 in Washington, who has marked 250 years since the creation of the US army, and which is also his birthday.

The National Guard, a reserve body, in Los Angeles and then in Washington. In the senior civil officials were also dismissed by the 79 -year -old billionaire. Donald Trump recently returned to the director of the main statistical statistics agency after the publication of bad figures.
