Two police officers were killed by shots and another wounded on Tuesday, August 26 in a rural property in southern Australia, we learned of a police source. Police said they were looking for a man who fled after a violent confrontation in an isolated area of Porepunkah, at the foot of a mountain, in the state of Victoria.
“Two police officers were instantly killed and one third was seriously injured in the lower part of the body,” according to a police statement, for which “the exact circumstances” of the drama “must still be determined.”
“We believe that the offender has meanwhile abandoning the property and at this time we ignore where he is,” said the police.

The mayor of the local government of Alpine Shire, Sarah Nicholas, spoke in a video message one day “of great sadness and shock” for the population.
