Blocked more than 7,000 meters in Kyrguistan, a mountaineer has not given any life sign for two weeks

The Kyrguistan authorities announced this Wednesday, August 27, without having signs of Russian mountaineer Natalia Nagovitsyna, blocked for two weeks in altitude in this country in Central Asia. At 48, he broke a leg on August 12 during the rise of Pic Pobeda, one of the most dangerous in Central Asia and the highest in Kirghizstan with its 7,439 meters above sea level.

The mountaineer was blocked about 7,000 meters above sea level. The Kirguez National Security Agency said that a drone equipped with a thermal chamber had flown in the area and had detected any signal that shows that this experienced mountaineer was still alive.

“According to the analysis of the data obtained and taking into account a combination of factors, in particular the extreme climatic conditions and the details of the area, no signs of life have been detected when Natalia Nagovitsyna is located,” said this agency in a statement.

A mountaineer dies trying to help him

Several attempts to rescue the 48 -year -old mountaineer failed, and rescue operations were suspended on Saturday, rescuers described them as “impossible.” Temperatures are currently about -30 degrees Celcius at night in the upper part of the Peak of Pobleda, accompanied by wind bursts and snowstorms.

An Italian mountaineer, Luca Sinigaglia, died on August 15 trying to help him, and the Italian rescuers went to the place to try to recover his body, using a helicopter, they announced the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A rescue helicopter also had an accident in the mountains, while a group of mountaineers had to stop the ascent due to a serious discomfort of its leader, according to Kirgy authorities. According to local mountaineers, no one has been rescued at such an altitude in this mountain.
