An image for history: Chinese President Xi Jinping, his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un helped together, in the company of twenty foreign leaders, with a giant military parade that celebrates the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, this Wednesday, September 3 in Beijing.
Xi Jinping shook his hand in turn to Vladimir Putin then to Kim Jong-un, as well as the other guests to his successive arrivals. Then, exchanging kindness, the leaders began with the red carpet, Putin to the right of Xi and Kim to their left, at the head of the group, towards the Tiananmen place for the parade, according to images transmitted by state television.
A parade with big fanfare
During the parade with a rhythmic step, launched by Canon Unnves, thousands of participants sang patriotic songs in the immense Pavisy place of the red flags and overwhelmed by airplanes and helicopters, while the last military team of Beijing was presented.

Xi Jinping, standing in his solar car, has checked the troops. “The Renaissance of the Chinese nation is unstoppable and the noble cause of peace and development of humanity will certainly succeed,” he proclaimed in a speech.

In a period of geopolitical tensions and commercial war, he warned: “Humanity again faces a choice between peace or war, dialogue or confrontation.” Xi called to avoid the reissue of “historical tragedies” like the one that millions of Chinese died in front of the Japanese troops more than 80 years ago.
He was maintained from any explicit reference in the United States or subjects of discord such as Taiwan or customs duties. No leading Western leader was at the audience, where Prime Minister Slovak Robert Fico, a Putin ally inside the EU, had taken place. The presence of Kim Jong One in the company of his two powerful neighbors was the first.
“The ability to unite”
Never from his adherence to power at the end of 2011, the North Korean leader, who limits the exits outside his lonely country and subject to strong Western sanctions, has been demonstrated at a meeting of foreign leaders.
The day marks the highlights of a sequence during which China also welcomed the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (OCS), which brought together leaders from about twenty euroasmatic countries and dedicated an approach between XI and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Despite the US pressures, China shows that “it has the ability to gather and the political influence to gather Putin and Kim,” says Lam Peg Er, a researcher at the National University of Singapore.
“Xi Jinping shows the rest of the world that Kim Jong one meets the meeting when he is reluctant to meet President Trump again and the South Korean president Lee Jae Myung,” he said.
A “conspiracy” against the United States
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, who expressed his desire to meet the North Korean leader, welcomed Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15 to try to find an exit to the war in Ukraine. In China, the Russian president, however, once again attributed the responsibility of the war to the West on Monday. He also showed his agreement with Xi Jinping.

For his part, Donald Trump accused in Washington on Tuesday night (Tuesday night in Washington, note of the editor) Chinese president of “conspire (r) against the United States of America” with the Russian president and the North Korean leader.
However, he said a few hours before they were “worried about everything” for the Chinese-Rusa alliance. “We have the most powerful military forces in the world, with much, and they would never use them against us. Believe me, it would be the worst they can ever do,” he said.
Almost three weeks after his failed interview, Donald Trump also said he was “very disappointed” by Vladimir Putin, without, however, the sanctions announced against Russia.
The three meetings that Donaldtrump had with Kim Jong-un in 2018 and 2019, during his first term, to stop the nuclear threat of North Korea had also run out of tomorrow.
Kim had not left his country from a trip to Russia in September 2023. Upon arriving in Beijing, “he showed the North Koreans and the world that he has powerful Russian and Chinese friends who treat him with respect,” said expert Lam Peng er.
