The president of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, was forced to cancel his arrival in Paris on the occasion of the “voluntary coalition” that brings together the allies of Ukraine this Thursday, September 4. The cause: a collapse of his plane that forced him to turn and return to Madrid, according to the Spanish newspaper El País.
Pedro Sánchez will continue to participate in the summit in videoconference.
Almost 40 leaders gathered
Several political leaders are expected at the Palais de L’Elellee, in particular the Danish Prime Minister, Put Frederiksen, the president of Filant Alexander Subb, the president of the European Council António Costa, the president of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen, but also the president of Ukraine, Volodyr Zelensky.
Almost another 30 political figures will be present in distant, including Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister, or even Giorgia Meloni, president of the Italian Council of Ministers. Several non -European leaders will also be videoconferences this Thursday morning.
At the end of this summit on security guarantees for Ukraine, they will exchange with Donald Trump at 2 pm during a telephone interview.
