The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) alerted on Friday, September 5, about the famine in Gaza on Friday, asking Israel to stop this “disaster”, while at least 370 people have starved in hunger since the beginning of the conflict, according to him.
“It is a catastrophe that Israel could have warned and that could stop at any time,” said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, at a press conference at the organization’s headquarters in Geneva.
The Unido Unión officially declared the famine on August 22 to Gaza, the first to reach the Middle East, after his experts warned that 500,000 people were in a “catastrophic” state.
