The departure of Tunisia, scheduled for Sunday, of a flotilla with proportine activists and humanitarian aid for Gaza, was postponed, the organizers said on Saturday, September 6.
The organizers announced that they have rescheduled the departure of the Tunisia ships on Wednesday, for “technical and logistics reasons.”
The flotilla departure had already been postponed, particularly due to climatic conditions.
The “Magreb Sumud” flotilla must join the boats of the International Fleet “Global Sumud” that already remains of Spain and Italy.
Together, its goal is to “open a humanitarian corridor and put an end to genocide in the Palestinian people,” according to the organizers.
The Gaza Strip is the scenario of a devastating war, launched by the unprecedented attack against the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on the Israeli soil on October 7, 2023. The United Nations declared in August the state of the famine in Gaza, warning that 500,000 people are in a “catastrophic” situation.
