Donald Trump, who attacked many great American names in the press, described the “illegal” media roofs for him too negative on Friday.
Particularly evoking television channels, the US president, a great consumer of the small screen, said: “They will take a very good story. And they will make it a bad story. You already see, personally, I think it is illegal.”
The suspension of certain channels mentioned
On Thursday, the 79 -year -old Republican had mentioned the suspension of the license for the channels that would be “against (he)”. He still repeated on Friday that, on some television channels, the “97%” of the coverage dedicated to it was negative.
Donald Trump has also resolutely defeated the head of the American audiovisual regulator (FCC), Brendan Carr. The latter had criticized the statements of humorist Jimmy Kimmel about the murder of Charlie Kirk, a relative of Donald Trump, and openly threatened his station of sanctions. Shortly after, the ABC channel had retired from the antenna the program “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.
“I think Brendan Car is a patriot” who “does not like the waves to be used illegally and incorrectly,” said the US president. The threats made by the head of the FCC have created discomfort in certain conservatives, who find it difficult to compatible with freedom of expression.
“I think it is particularly dangerous for a government to get in a position to say what speech he likes or does not like. I like Brendan Carr, but we should not venture into him,” said Republican Senator Ted Cruz in a podcast.
