Vladimir Putin will meet this Friday with the mothers of soldiers deployed in Ukraine, the Kremlin announced.

“On the eve of Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on the last Sunday of November in Russia, Vladimir Putin will meet the mothers of the soldiers taking part in the special military operation,” a statement said.

The Ukrainian president also accused Russia of incessantly shelling Kherson, the southern Ukrainian city he left earlier this month. Seven people were killed there and 21 wounded in a Russian attack on Thursday, according to local authorities.
