The Aalborg Airport Airspace in Northern Denmark closed Thursday at 11:40 PM (9:40 PM GMT) after alleged drones were in the area, the airport public channel reported.
The airspace reopened around 00:35 am on Friday, said the Regional Police in X, also evoking a suspicion of drones. At this stage, the authorities have not clearly declared that they have established the effective presence of such devices.
The closure of the airport forced a KLM flight from Amsterdam to turn around and led to the cancellation of a flight from the Scandinavian airlines from Copenhagen, according to the monitoring of flights and the airlines websites.
The drones had been seen on Wednesday night to Thursday above Aalborg (North), Esbjerg (West), Sonderborg (South) and Skrystrup (South), the Police, the Police.
