France Insoumise (LFI) requested a demonstration this Thursday, October 2 of the night “everywhere in France” to claim the release of flotilla equipment for Gaza intercepted by Israel, which are part of the elected officials of the movement.
“Get out on October 2 from 6.30 pm, everywhere in France, to request the immediate launch of the teams and the end of the genocide in Gaza,” the political party of the left left left published Wednesday night.
The Israeli naval forces intercepted on Wednesday “several ships” of the fleet that approached the Gaza Strip, in particular the one that Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and Nelson Mandela’s grandson were, after Israel has summoned the dozens of boats to change the cap.
The Eurodiputadas Rima Hassan and Emma Take, as well as deputy Marie Messmeur (Iille-Et-Vilaine), members of LFI, also embarked on the flotilla.
“Emmanuel Macron must react!”
Several LFI deputies, including Éric Coquerel (Seine-Saint-Denis), Manuel Bompard (Bouche-Du-Rhône) or Sophia Chikirou (Paris), have already participated in a demonstration on Wednesday night, Place de la République in Paris, according to images published in X.
“The massive popular support for the Republic to parliamentarians and activists illegally arrested by Israel!” The Deputy LFI of the Rhône Anaïs BeloeALlessa Cherifi commented on the same social network.
“France must report the illegal arrest. Emmanuel Macron must react!” He added.
Foreign Minister Jean-NOël Barrot asked the Israeli authorities “to guarantee the safety of the participants” in the flotilla.
