Russia announced on Monday, October 6, after having intercepted 251 Ukrainian drones during the night, one of the most massive attacks in kyiv in three and a half years of conflict, particularly intense in the Black Sea sector.
In this unusually high total, 40 drones were sacrificed above the Ukrainian Crime Peninsula, annexed by Russia in 2014, 62 on the Black Sea and five above the Azov Sea, said Russian Ministry of Defense.

At the end of September, Moscow exercised total or partial control over 19% of the Ukrainian territory, according to the analysis of the AFP data provided by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which works with the Crititas threat project (CTP).
About 7%, Crimea and the Donbass areas have already been reviewed before the Russian invasion of February 2022.
While the diplomatic efforts made by Donald Trump during the summer to end the conflict were bogged down, the progression of the Russian army has slowed again in September. He took 447 km2 in the Ukrainians, accentuating the deceleration began in August (594 km2) after a peak in July (634 km2).
